Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In 1956, she got her first big break with a performance on Broadway with Li'l Abner. That same year, she released Her first album, It's time for Tina. Louise first appeared in Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, in God's Little Acre, a drama from 1957. The film was an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. During this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next memorable role came through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career successfully with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary however she also established herself as an effective television director in numerous series, including Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated to Essex to Toronto, where she spent childhood and adolescence. In 1997 after being selected to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
